About Christian Science Testimony Meetings

From the Christian Science Journal, April 2004:

“A weekly public meeting, held on Wednesday evening, at which the First Reader reads selections from the Bible and Science and Health that he or she has chosen as appropriate for the community in which the church is located. The passages read can be fairly brief. The principal part of the meeting is set aside for spontaneous testimonies, in which people express thanks for a healing or some other experience of spiritual growth.”
